More is better, ....been struggling personally with that motto. Going to try and settle for an older DR350, KLR250 or DRZ400 in the $1-$1.5 k range.

Super out of the loop. A couple weeks before Christmas the owners of my company left for their annual holiday trip to Florida. The day after they left, they shut down our internet to everything but about 5 sites that we regularly use for work (I need about 10 sites regularly for work) didn't matter to them. (I'm currently trying to wrap my mind around finding a new job.... My current one is terrible; the owners have lost touch with reality... my problem is I've been there for 10 years, since high school, and considering its all I really know work wise, leaving is hard. If anyone knows of something... I can do/learn just about anything). No more internet at work, then super busy holidays at home, meant I no longer hit up the forum. With the weather the way it is, I'm not currently motorcycle crazy... so I probably still won't be a frequent user. Come spring time I'm sure I'll be back in full force looking for rides n such.

Can't pass this up though:

1. How was your 2012 on motorcycles? Did you do a lot of riding? Take the trips you wanted to?
Record breaking mileage wise, no crazy trips, but several 'long weekend' type trips. Passed the half way point of 'states motorcycled in'.

2. What do you have planned for 2013? Any special trips or events you're looking forward to? Are you in the planning stages or dreaming stages?
I really want to get out west; Colorado, Utah, and vicinity. Nothings for sure yet.

3. Do you have a new bike or bikes in your vision?
New Tenere last spring, and just past the 1 year mark with the WRR. This year I hope to pay off the Tenere, but then a new 4 wheeled vehicle needs to be procured. I'm incredibly on the fence with that decision... Toyota Tundra is leading the pack. I only drive 2000-5000 miles a year, gas mileage isn't of much concern to me.

4. What are you going to do this winter during the bitter cold? Big repairs, maintenance, plan, say fuggit and ride, drink?
I feel like I've been busy, but I don't think I've accomplished much. I'm still commuting on the bikes when it's not wet/frozen.

5. How do you view your riding right now? Anything changed or your focus or goals still what they were? Do you want to learn or do anything different?
Seeing as how I just past my 1 year off-road riding mark, my riding is drastically improved over a year ago. I'm pleased with what I can do, but there is always room for improvement.

6. Did you have any wrecks or get-offs this year? If so, how are you doing afterwards? Back to your old self or still coming back? Has it changed your riding?
Serious? No. Drops/Falls? Tons.

7. Going with that subject, if for some reason you weren't able to ride, what would you do with yourself?
Probably get back into small sporty cars. Maybe go back to racing Autocross.

8. Where are some places you haven't ridden you're dying to?
Colorado/Utah area. West Coast. Northeast Canada (trans-labrador), Mexico and Central America are all the current dreams. Of course the more outrageous ideas like Europe/South America/Australia exist too, but they're more fantasies right now.

9. What oil is the best?
I use Amsoil still, but I'm slowly returning to the train of thought that they're all the same in the end.

The PW50 I bought for 50$ off CL was going to fix it but its a mess and not worth fixing.

The PW80 was a good bike until Kyle rode it in the snow one winter and killed it. It needs new piston and rings not a big deal but he was to big for it and I just never took the time to fix it.

The KLX110 with a 143 kit was a real bad day. Racing it as TV land and the intake valve broke off the stem at wide open throtle. Put a hole in the piston, bent the rod, and busted the skirt off the cyl.

The RMZ250 needed head work and a new piston. I was going to do it last winter but some kid landed on Kyle at a indoor track and bent the sub frame, bent the yosh. pipe, and bent somthing in the front end, maybe the tripple tree. So its pretty much a parts bike.

I went to KFC a couple weeks ago with the cane and wasn't moving real fast and the lady gave me the sr. discount. I was like wtf I am only 40 years old but what ever I am a cheap ass also.

I was going to eat to Peggys sues today but the back roads still have alot of ice on them. I made it to Danville got gas and pie at the BP and headed home.

Friday night goes pretty fast. Saturday is a pain. You have practice in the morning, heat races and then a long break before the racing starts saturday night. It makes a long day if you are racing and have a hour and a half drive home after the races. It is a good place to watch some bar banging racing. Dress warm its cold in that building.

Thanks for the link. If it's at the fairgrounds, I can ride the bike there. It's only about 1/2 hour tops to get there. Going to see what the classes are.

EDIT: Looks like a possibility. Going to make some calls.

I'd make you a pretty screaming deal on my KLR Jr to get it out of my garage. It's ugly, but it doesn't need anything.

Anyone riding in the SE this weekend? Washington, Monroe, Noble? I can even do Athens, Meigs.Thinking about a little loop with gravel Saturday. I'm up for most any gravel road, the WRR has a trials tire on the rear, so no good off road with mud. They're guessing 65+ on Saturday.

What? It will take some mud. I ran a MT43 this fall in Tar Hollow and down in Hatfield McCoy and run through some pretty good puddles with no problems. ;)

Want to head a little farther north to Coshocton too?

MT43 is what I have. It packed up & spun in my yard last night, but maybe its the rider.

That's pretty far, but I don't know backroads up that way. I could be convinced if no one wants to ride down here. Getting tired of solo miles.
