That seems to fit. I thought that the bike seemed to be a bit louder this past Saturday, but I thought maybe it was because the voices in my head were a bit quieter.

I will check that out.

Thanks Dox. Kinda neat to be able to see that info. Toxic Brittany only has 3 posters over 1000, here there's a bit more.

I usually catch up on this thread while waiting in line at the bank or at Subway. I have done the LOL quite a few times myself.

I am looking forward to riding again soon. We will have to meet for bfast some time.

EJV- sucks to hear the fork covers didn't help. Maybe I'll give in and go all out with these hard fork cover over the neoprene socks. ..........[/QUOTE]

Well. The weeping started on one side, then the covers were thrown on. Then it seemed they both let loose. At least the engine and skid plate gets a nice coat of anti corrosive oil... .

If all of those typical Yamaha reliability issues become problematic, I know of a very nice BMW R1200GS Adventure that you might be interested in. Previous owner was very good with maintenance.

IIRC there's a slip together fitting between the header pipe and muffler you might look at it. Also the header bolts can rattle loose over time. I had to tighten the ones on my '93.

If nothing else works check the valves.

Oooh! Sounds tempting! I wonder if those ever leak ( ). I can't imagine they do.
I do like the new ones. Cruise Control is built in now. The Audi, I mean, LED lights look sharp.

If you find you end up with unwanted offspring, instead of choosing abortion (or a "visit to Meefzah"), my 6 year old daughter would give it a loving home and family.
