I'm gonna try them on first...if they don't fit me well, then they're yours.

Hey all, I was riding down southeast toward and around Coshocton yesterday - beautiful day and beautiful ride. But I was curious to know if anyone had opinions about the best roads/routes/places in the Woodbury Wildlife Area, Wills Creek region, or any areas in between or around? I know there's good dual sporting to be had, and I'm planning to explore further, but I thought I'd ask on here first for opinions/suggestions. The ride yesterday was actually following a route sheet from Meef's Central Ohio dual sport ride hosted back in '08. PS, Meef, that ride was a blast! I especially loved the area on and around the Holmes County trail, I had never been on that. The whole thing was just awesome. I actually two-upped the whole thing with a girl on the back haha and she loved it too. From what I've read on that thread, the Wills Creek area was originally planned as a part of that ride, but eventually cut out? If Meef or anyone from prerides remembers the route through there that would be awesome too. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to share any thoughts, I really appreciate it!

Sincerely, Tom

In the Conesville coal land area, there are a lot of good roads/trails to bang around on. Take 541 out of Coshocton down to CO rd 123 and just explore. There is a nice trail right there that looks like a road off of 541, but actually gets a bit gnarly, and there are tons of trails just going up into the hills all over down there.

PM'ed you swingset. I'm going to be wandering ohio all weekend, maybe i can stop by and try it on.

My girlfriend has been wanting a dual sport for a while, and now has her heart set on an XL500. Any body with experience on these? Are they a bitch to kick start? She's used to easy kicking 125 and 200 2 strokes, I'm wondering if she doesn't know what shes in for.

I'm half tempted to let her attempt my LC4 and see how she does. I don't want to end up with something she doesn't want to ride because its too hard to start.

I remember my brother's taking a bit of leg to kick over, but it was new and probably corked up. I haven't seen many around, they were cool bikes but I know some parts are hard to come by for 'em. Wouldn't buy a project version for a dualie, but if it's complete it would be fun.

Harder than the mini bikes, even with the decomp system. She might want to think an e-start through. Would she kick one on the side of a hill? In mud? Etc. The xl is dated too. And unless she's big or on easy stuff it's size might be an issue. My 650 is about the same size/weight,and I'm a big dude. It's a handful for me at times. She might like a drz, xr400,dr350,or many of the new fi250+ bikes. Lighter, better parts availability, and still highway capable. Also watch seat heights for her. Ds bikes tend to be tall.

If she wants,I have a 93 dr650 sitting around. She can kick to her hearts content.
