Nice turnout for VJMC. I wasn't there last year but I heard there weren't nearly as many bikes.

Anyone here ride the DR350? Never saw who owned it. It was in the show for a bit in the same spot as another bike (I forget which), but I saw it moved later to in front of the store. I think it got kicked out.

New SEO State Route for me today; SR 775 north out of Proctorville going up towards either Galliopolis or Rio Grande. It's twisty, (very twisty in places,) and next to empty.

Ohio SR 160 has just been re-paved.

Hillbilly Hotdog; you can get just as good a dog in Cambridge at Theo's downtown but the 160/755 combo is pretty amazing.

The ADV scene is pretty dead down here. In the last month the local thread had only 11 posts and 5 are mine. Can someone recommend another site where I might be able to find people that ride?

Ouch... I'll get back to you in a bit I'm in a super deep conversation about the benefits of the 1911 in 22 cal over the LC380.

A 1911 in anything but .45 ACP is an abomination. If you want a .22 pistol, get a Ruger Mark II or III.

They're pretty nice in 9mm trim. More control than a .45, and similar power.

.22 conversions are great for learning a platform without recoil issues, expensive ammo, and the like.

I have a Ruger MK III & a Browning Buckmaster, but for 22 plinking I really think my High Standard Dura-Matic M-101 is much cooler & more fun to shoot.
