Should be fine on an old Trackmaster. I've rode the whole loop on Shinko 244s and have no skills. The creek crossings may be a little slick, but everything was really dry down here before this little bit of rain. Weather is looking good, 30% chance and high of 78.

Nope. 6 miles is a close as we get. There is a pizza place there. We can detour to Marietta & trade some gravel for pavement if the group wants to eat in Marietta though, I'm absolutely flexible.

There's a pretty good Mexican place in Marietta, as well. When I'm really hungry I could eat the fetstered anus of a 1 week old, bloated, road kill skunk in August, so I'm not real sensitive about cuisine. I was just thinking, we'll only lose 4-ish miles of gravel and pick up about 10 of pavement, so probably a good trade. Let's plan for that.

Not planning anything too crazy, just avoiding as much pavement as possible, Planning on going rain or shine as long as there's no thunderstorms at departure time. Figuring on leaving around 08:00ish so if there are any more folks from the Columbus area interested we can pick a place to meet up to ride out together.
It sure is. I've wondered if it didn't belong to an inmate at some point. Here's my write up on it so far.

Columbus people going to the little bike ride Saturday in Caldwell. I'm probably going to go 256 from pickerington to somerset, 22 from somerset to south zanesville, and 146 from south zanesville to Caldwell.

I haven't looked at timing or anything yet, but if anyone wants to meet up and ride together, we can find an east side meeting point and set a time tomorrow.

That one's really good. Tampico on 2nd St is pretty good.

We had 1/2" of rain last night, its supposed to rain a little more today. I suppose most of it's technique, but you'll be spinning some uphill in the gravel with a little mud mixed in. I did with a MT43 trials tire on the WRR. A lot of the mud down this way is clay, so the trials tire loaded up quickly.
We'll go up a few hills that if you were in a 4x4 pickup, you'd probably shift to 4x just to maintain traction up the hill due to % grade on gravel, well at least we power company guys do.

Also here's the loop:

Meefzah and Alan, the red track is Irish Run (muddy place with the downed tree) It may be passable on little bikes.

The funny blue is the detour into Marietta, the dark blue is a way I think we can avoid pavement into Woodsfield. Everything on the loop is a road on the map.

Elevation Profile (just because I'm kind of a nerd):

Shouldn’t be any log crossingsJ Maybe one easy water crossing, can’t remember for sure though since I only road the area once before. Columbus riders meet up at 08:00 at the McDonalds in Pickerington on route 256 just north of I-70 (exit 112 on I-70 east.) We take off on I-70 E to Zanesville at 08:30. Ride starts at the entrance of the Rushing Wind Biker Church, 5715 E Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701 at about 09:30. Anyone else outside Columbus interested in riding can meet up there. Total mileage is about 150 and there is gas available at about 80 miles into the route. We can also grab some lunch at the gas stop. If we have really bad weather and have to delay or cancel the ride I will post up here, but am planning on riding if it’s not raining too hard so bring your rain gear. If anyone needs to get a hold of me before the start just PM me or call me on my cell at 614-332-23 eight eight.
