It's some fucking thing mynamewasmud dragged home and chopped. I rode it around the block as a goof. My summary of it from that 2 minute ride: awful brakes, too goddamn loud, uncomfortable, why are my feet essentially resting on the front axle, hard to turn, vibrates horribly, too goddamn loud, I want to punch every mook who rides a bike like this and thinks it's actually cool right in their dick.
But it looked so "you"!

The story is that my wife has been asking me to find a bike that she would be comfortable on as a passenger since she has a hard time getting on and off the Strom. A friend of mine was selling an '84 GL1200 Aspencade really cheap since the charging system was not working (a big deal on these bikes since it requires engine removal to replace the stator). I fixed it up and my wife has really enjoyed riding around on the back. It is really nice great that she will ride with me now, but I really don't enjoy the bike.
Sorry to hear about your travails. I bought one of those things for the exact same reason (Mrs. Steingar was less than enthusiastic about riding pillion on the sport bike) and have crashed mine as well. Only bike I ever crashed, and I crashed it twice. Big piggy thing. Nice ride though, and I do like it when the mercury drops. And for a huge piggy bike it is very easily ridden. And made right here in Ohio. And still working just fine after 30 years.

Unfortunately one of my crashes was into the back of an SUV, so the mounts on the fairing are all busted. I guess I have to add noisy to the list. Still, I rear-ended the thing and the bike is still going. Tough thing.

Clean enough to share

So I wasn't paying attention today and ass ended a guy at a stop light. He gets outta the car, and he's a dwarf. He waddles around to the rear of his car, looks at his bumper then looks at me and yells "I AIN'T HAPPY!" I said "Ok, so like, which one are you?

I do not, and frankly, I find his commentary crude and inappropriate.

I figure that was the last time he will enjoy those weapons, I would assume he is no longer employed and is in a mandatory 3 day evaluation commitment. He is an example of why folks think all LEO's are dicks, not including the Highway Patrol "they are all dicks" oh yeah so are the Game Wardens. Mark is dead on with "inappropriate" he has that I'm the Chief so I am always right, even when I'm wrong thing.

nope:

But Gilberton Mayor Mary Lou Hannon noted that Kessler's actions came during his "free time," and said it would be "terribly inappropriate to comment."
"As you may already know, the Borough of Gilberton supports the U.S. Constitution, as well as the Pennsylvania Constitution, and therefore has made no law which would impede its employees' First Amendment rights," she said in a press release. "Anyone asking the borough to take action against the chief, when he has committed no illegal act, no violation of policy and no misuse of borough time, is asking that we establish an official political view of the borough and impose it upon one or more of our employees, which would obviously be unconstitutional. Each member of council, each employee and each citizen is not only entitled to their own political opinions but also the right to express them. We will not take action to quash free speech, whether or not each member of council or any member of council agrees with it."

From what I've read, he's got a tin-foil hat and runs his own militia. Not exactly the poster child you'd want for 2A issues.
