That ferry would be kickass. A couple Mexico suggestions. Laredo was a better border crossing than Brownsville if we're talking Central Mexico, better roads at least more mountains/curves. Stay at La Posada in Laredo before you cross, you can walk across bridge and get your paperwork done then bug out early. It was about $90 but it was a helluva place for $90. Put Real de Catorce on your list of places to visit. Stay at Real Hotel while you're there.
You may have researched all of that but its my $.02

I guess there is an elevator in the middle of that tower that takes them to the top?

No, they're hauled to the top while wearing an open parachute and harness. The towers were originally a Worlds Fair ride.

My brother went through basic at Fort Benning. The whole family went down to see him "graduate". Seeing those towers in person was an impressive site.

Oh, sorry Scott, but I'm out for tubing tonight... (says the guy who realized he missed it at 9:30!)

What is the price and how does the price compare to the standard one without all of the stuff that I would probably take off anyway? A co-worker shot at the range yesterday and really liked it. I normally go down to Ohio Valley when I need an indoor range, but The Bullet Ranch is definitely more convenient, being only 5 minutes from my house. I've thought about getting a membership before the prices go up next month, but I don't know if I can swing the $200 right now.

I'm thinking you need a calibration on that gage!!!
Just a few miles north of you, I was reading -13 at the lowest at about 6:45am.

Either way...too damn cold.....need that Caribbean vacation soon!

The truck has always been +/- 1 of any other reasonably accurate temperature gauge I have compared it to. So I think that is probably pretty close One of my co workers lives on a hill about 2 miles from where I took that picture, the truck showed -22 when I passed his house. He said his thermometer showed -23 when he got up this morning.

When I left the house, the truck showed -18, house showed -18.9, so yea, I think the truck is reasonably close....

I didn't take a picture of it, so it didn't really happen but just before I took the -29 pic, it had showed -31

When I got to New Phila area, it was a balmy -15

I'm guessing that was in a low valley. I've noticed on cold dry days with little wind that the cold air will sink into valleys making the valley floor noticeably cooler early in the morning. Once the sun comes that changes quickly.

Up here on the lake we were much warmer. Only -7 at sunrise
