Welcome to the U.S.A. Bacon!

A word of advice Bacon, stay away from people in white aprons and wearing white hats, standing in front of hot, flat metal surfaces...

Sorry for the late posting. I needed a few days to get used to the new timezone.

Hanging loose in Pine Mountain Club while coordinating the next relay

Do you think that if we put this thread sticky to the top of the ride report section, more people would see it and we could get bacon moving around the country? I would like to see the little guy really rack up some miles.

Bacon on the move

Hi folks,

After some relaxing in the central California Mountains I'm finally back in the saddle again.

I am currently going north on I-5 towards Bakersfield where I will meet my new driver.

So long Pine Mountain

A popular stop around here in the summer for motorcyclists is "Mad Bailey's" Pub or the "Screaming Squirrel" restaurant.

Lots of beautiful twists leads out of the mountain

To Interstate 5

The stretch of I-5 that goes through these mountains are called "The Ridge Route" and are part of the old road structure of the Spaniard's, connecting the coast to Fort Tejon.

We go I-5 north, down towards the Central Valley, and the road is now called "The Grapevine" from the vines that grow in the area or the way the Interstate twists like a grapevine

Rendezvous

So long "Kilroy"

Welcome "Toyanvil"

Well done Bacon.
You're route looks a good one. I'll be following it in June on my way from Phoenix to San Simeon to see Hurst Castle. Now that's a nice little place to rest for a travel weary pig!

Dear Bacon,

Monkey wants to welcome you when you get to Northern Colorado. Monkey has a warm garage for your bike, too. Monkey and you can discuss your travels together and Monkey's travels have also been fairly extensive.

Monkey's pal,
- Flash

Toyanvil picked up Bacon from Kilroy Was Here on Friday, February 29

where he had a short ride back home. Although we didn't get to spend a lot of time with him, he did help us bake cookies,

pack for an overnight training,

played with the dog,

checked out some ADV,

he wanted to sit on the Bonne,

and then off to bed.

The next day Mrs. Toyanvil passed Bacon off to AlinBeaverton who was heading down to Baja.

So long Bacon, have a good journey.

Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance you must keep moving.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved. Hell, some of the places I’ve been there weren’t even roads!
