Stage 6 - Way back home and Bacons new host - Brummbär

Way back home I followed the Col du Galbier - this year one of the hardest crossings for the Tour de France

Petit Saint Bernard



May this a new friend for Bacons - Backpack but - a little to large



So Bacon and me decided to chosse a smaler version - This is "Bernie" bacon new travel mate



This was - mostly - Bacons home on this trip - now its time to say good bye



And hand over to Bacons new host - inmate - "Brummbär"



Brummbär will take him to Italy the (Dolomites) a great curvy place to ride



Finally it was a great ride to the French-Italian borderline - 3.500 k´s with new impressions, taste´s, people, sight´s - a few at the historical time - where most off-road way´s we have ridden are done for a trivial reason - We should not forget that many French / Italian soldiers died in the last centuries on that visited places.

But now it´s time to start a new chapter at Bacon´s life - stay tuned!

If Bacon is finished in Germany I can pick him up or a tour of the Carpathian mountains covering Czech Rep, Slovakia, Hungary & Romania. Then I'm continuing on through Bulgaria and Greece before catching a ferry to Italy to come home.
I'll be Leaving England on Sept 25th and crossing Germany (my route is basically a straight line from Calais to Prague) on my way to Prague to begin with. Afternoon and evening of the 26th in Prague.

Sorry Guys and Girls, long Time, no Answer.

There has been no Porknapping or hiding or something else. I´ve made my Tour through the Dolomites form the 17th to 30th of July. Fine Area, but 7 from 10 Days it was raining. Back Pain forced me to stop the Tour on the 27th and visit the Hospital in Cologne. A complete medical investigation came to the result: Pancreas Cancer. At the 23rd of August they put me in a Chemotherapy, which will last a little bit longer..

For the moment i am at my Mom´s Home, but she refuses Internet Connections, so i had to wait...

I will put the Photos on the Page as soon as possible, but please give me some Days. If there is someone who is near Cologne, send me a message and we`ll bring the Porker on his next Trip. For now i show you that he is fine...
