Go bacon go...
. Bought time to start heading for another continent... He could easily ride around America for a year or two but he has lots more to see of this great big world....Does Bacon still have his log book with him? Haven't seen or heard anything about his book for a while now.....

I witnessed Ladybug handing off Bacon, complete with log book, maps, and new pig riding gear, to Tantrum. (Both ADV names).
Not sure what he's been up to lately. I did see him pounding down some pints somewhere, Portland I think.

Cyborg has offered to take Bacon on his ride in Europe but that won't happen until the end of May. I have a trip to AK scheduled but it's not until the 20th of June. I agree that we need to keep Bacon moving and have posted a thread in the PNW forum looking for volunteers. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...14#post6793114

I know of at least one person in Arizona who signed up some time ago to take Bacon around the Southwest. We have a lot of great rides planned for him. Any idea when we can get him to the Phoenix area? Thanks!

I know he's been having lots of fun out there, but I thought the was a RELAY, not a keep him in one area or with one rider for weeks at a time thing.
Let get him moving East please.... I heard he was saying that he's sick of being on Pacific Time. If I had him for more than a couple of days I would feel like I'm not doing my part in the round' the world RELAY.

Everyone has to understand how tough it is to get bacon to a new rider in their area, and even harder to get him across the country. In between packing to move and work, I will see what kind of a solution I come up with by reviewing the sign up list. But don't hold your breath, I saw this coming before Bacons first ride and had no solution then either...
If all goes according to plan, in Sept, I will be going Cross country again on the ST1300 ( ) so while not an on/off road type of ride, I could give bacon a ride to "Bridge the Gap" and get some high speed/ high miles to clear Bacons head.(?)

If he can't get east, I'll just have to come pick him up. I could make the trip after the 1st of May... but I wouldn't want to skip over other volunteers.... but if people can't/wont make the trip to get him moving on his worldwide adventure I'll ride to where ever he is and get him bringing him into the midwest...
Riding Chicago to the Pacific NW to pick up a Pig is as good as any reason to ride 4500 miles in under a week. I'll clear his head alright...

Let me add, my current steed is road-only.
I mean really, who wants to take a 'Busa in gravel. I wonder if anyone's ever dual-sported a busa? I've seen a few quads with the motor, that's about it.

I'll haul him to California.
I'm headed to the Rio Nido Rally in a few weeks, & can pass him off to someoone else while there.

I've posted to the Rio Nido thread looking for a hand-oof volunteer. If we don't get a volunteer would you be willing to take Bacon down to Rio Nido anyway? I know Bacon would love to see some more countryside and meet new people
