I just got back from a 2000 mile trip. The 1off lights are working great, no lamp faults.

Is it normal that the bulbs get a bit stained on the inside. A shitty rusty color.

Btw, i have a spare 100w hid light. (other in the bike) And at 4300k, it makes for very good indoor lighting. Much brighter than my 500w halogens.

Happy to hear everyone is satisfied with 1 Off HID's

smr238 Ah it's nice to have something that works as described isn't it?

A 2,000 mile trip i am a bit jealous wish i was on that ride! Where did you travel to? How did you like the difference when you rode at night comparing the HID's to your Halogen bulbs? Or I should ask did you ride at all at night or stop and enjoy the different places?

If you have any pictures I would love to see a few of them, or if you want to post them on our Facebook page we would appreciate that as well.

Also a kind reminder that if for any reason that your lights stop working at any point in the future 1 Off MotorSports will replace the part that needs replacing. Too bad electronics do eventually go bad and bulbs will eventually burn out but it's nice to have the piece of mind that the issue will get fixed and a brand new replacement will be the reason. Also it is far more infrequent that this will be needed vs. the halogen bulbs.

If anyone has a question comment or concern I am happy to help in anyway I can.

Sincerely,

Spencer Tibbs

Stained Bulb

teomannaskali

Yes it is normal that there is a stain on the bulb(s). What you don't want to see on the bulbs is a really dark smoky grey or black color. As soon as the bulb turns opaque then it is time to email us or call to get a replacement.

Did i read that last part correct about using HID's for inside lighting? Like in your house or office? I took one of our testing stations home and was using it for s&g to see the difference, i thought i was the only one that did that. I thought it was too bright though and found myself looking at the bulb like a bug flying into the bug zapper and saw sun spots for a while so had turn it off. Pretty funny though hearing someone else used it at home.

Sincerely,

Spencer

Lamp glass foggy?

I've noticed after running HID for a couple month that the top of the glass is a bit milky.
Not a big issue but I'm wondering if you have the same issue? So looking at the bike from the front the
glass (not the bulb) is a bit milky on top, hardly noticeable but it's there.

Yes.
i want to replace my 500w halogen bulbs with Hids. Which i estimate produce 5000lumens.

My hid is 100w, but thats power consumption. Output is 75w. So at 100 lumen/watt that should make 7500 lumens.

A bit worried about the buzzing sound coming from the driver.

Also, at startup these bastards ar power hungry. Directlt connected to 16a 12v power supply i was unable to start the light. 24v 4.2A did not do much good either. But my 14.4v 7ah batt starts it nicely and runs for 30 mins.

Any ideas on that?
