That is the same mount i have, and I was considering doing just that.

Nice work , but I would add a couple zip ties around them and the mount. The mounts are kinda weak.

If you are looking for a way to mount your ballast on the "Sport" there is a fellow inmate that makes a mount that bolts onto the the oil cooler bolts.

Do you know if this mount will work with the Terra Nova light bar or any other light bars?

Thanks. I agree that the mounts are pretty weak. My biggest concern was the tabs that hold the ballast from sliding out. I bent those out farther. A zip-tie to hold the side fingers together is probably be a good idea.

You should send him a PM or mail to find out for sure. I'm guessing the one for the standard GS won't but maybe the one for the ADV will since it's designed to go around the Adventure guards.

Can you give me a direct link please - he has 544 items and I'm confused on which to get. Also can not tell how to get the slim balasts from this seller either. An email to him has not been responded to yet. Thanks.

I just installed my kit today and it went very smoothly! No lamp fault. I attached the ballasts to the underside of the oil cooler by bending the long tab on the included mount bracket. I zip-tied that end to the front subframe behind the side of the beak and ran another zip-tie through the bottom row of cooling fins.

I don't think he offers the slim ballasts.

After all these new orders, let me know if any of you have any LAMPF! issues with them. I may have a defective unit. I got fed up and switched them out and will return them (The set in Jim's original pictorial). I'm hoping the unit I got was defective, because I really liked the added light output.

Hid

I managed to install the low beam HID from the same vendor as JVB, however, after about ten minutes the ballast went out and I switched it out with the high beam. I have since e-mailed the company directly in hopes of replacing the ballast. I ordered the 6000k kit and I really like the output. I hope they make good with the waranty claims.
