F 650 GS/Dakar rear rack ext - Page 10

Hey Rick,
Thought I'd let you know your rack on my F650, just completed a 9000km trip through central Australia with shining colours.
Actually, the rack saved my bike from destruction and potentially saved me from serious injury (or death!) when I had an off on a very steep mountain pass where I slid backwards down the mountain, the rack got hooked up on two tree branches that saved my bike (and me) from a 50M vertical drop into the valley.
The rack has barely even a scratch, and had the weight of the entire bike on it!

Thanks again for the quality product. Saved my bacon!

Rick,

I got the rack today, and was able to install it in about 8 minutes. It took me about 4 of those minutes to locate the Loktite on my work bench. The product is awesome, and I am looking forward to my upcoming trip. I will post pictures when I begin the journey.

1. Have you engineered a rear rack for the earlier generation (model year 2003) F650GS?

2. If so...is it available in a "silver" powdercoat (to better match the Frame color of the bike) instead of the black?

3. If so...how much (time / $)?

Looks great...hopefully you have a version suitable for the '03's...

Here is the Kildala light bar mounted with some LED lights on my new F800gs. Stable, excellent location, and ties in nicely with the line of the bike. Thanks again for the prompt service Rick...... DD

Thanks for the regulator cover and the rear brake reservoir cover.....excellent product. Strongly recommended.....returning customer, had bought for my F650gs and now my F800....... DD
