I am pretty sure you can mount the fender on the xcountry. The only difference between the two there is the brake cables on the xcountry run and are bolted under the fork brace where the fender mounts on the challenge. The challenge has the brake cables routed differently leaving that area free. It would work I'm sure, with a little bit of work.

So what does touratech do to their bashguards to prevent it from bending the bolts that hold it up? I lifted my bike up using the bashplate and totally bent the two bolts that hold it up front...They were on tight. Could it be maybe that two bolts aren't exactly flush with the surface? Weak bolts? Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hello all,
I have an x-country as well and I'm glad to see a thread started up about them. I have had it for a few months and so far I really like it. I haven't done any mods yet but the minute I do, I'm posting it all on this thread.

That's what I keep hearing as well.

Will a Moto or Challenge seat fit on a Country?

Will a Moto or Challenge seat fit on a Country? I know it's kinda the opposite of what some have asked, but I'm finding my long legs are a little cramped on the xcountry...

Thanks!

Mike

I doubt it but can't really say yes or no since I haven't tried or read about anybody doing so.

Not an owner, but maybe.....

Are there screw holes under the bottom triple clamp to mount an Acerbis high fender instead of the whole Xchallenge assembly? My R100GS came with a low fender, but mounting a high fender was easy.

Yeah, it's the same clamp as the xchallenge I believe. The only difference is that on the country the brake lines are routed under that clamp and there's a bracket that holds them there, using those screw holes. I'm probably going to buy a cheap high fender and test how it works eventually. As soon as the weather gets nice.

the tank bag is a rapid transit.... i dont think that the non-magnetic version is on the web site.... it does fit the bike pretty good.... i think it was around $40.... i also have the tail bag that goes with it... the tail bag i dont like at all. too small to put anything in. it is easier to just strap it to the rack.
