Forgot all about this thread.
Any locals doing the Wyangala ride? http://www.offroadexplorer.com/WyangalaRide.html Talking to Holmesie about a possible extension next time (not that we have anything to do with the ride organizing) Cowra- Canimbla NP to Gooloogong, Eugowra then onto Nanami Lane to Nangar NP. From Nangar head to Orange via the Cadia forests. Then up to Lewis Ponds rd to Hill End. Hill End to Sofala then Bathurst then from there back to Sydney.

Thanks for the bump NHSU. Didnt know this thread existed. Have been over in the Mudgee area for about 12 months now and am keen to do some day rides or overnighters if there is anything happening.

Wellington based, but don't get to ride bikes with a motor very much due to work and family. On the plus side, I have a great swing band going here at the moment!

Howdy DR, These days I'm also Mudgee based along with Browny (no idea what his ADV handle is) and Ian (KLEaner) and Shane (Leglessone) are based in Gulgong. Matt is another DR tragic so you have something in common there. Sounds like we need to organise a ride and meet up with Ecks somewhere?
Cheers Bill

I have some good routes planned for around here, but life gets in the way of riding! I'm bandmaster for two bands, play lead sax in another, own my own business, have two kids under 6 and zero spare time! ![]() As an indicator, one of my bands is booked for easter 2013 already...

A couple of weeks notice and Id be in for a ride. A bit like Ecks-Man with my free time as I have three kids under 4. but the wifes pretty good and I get out more than I should. Question for the locals. Ive been trying to find a way through to Hill End on the dirt from Yarrabin Rd at the Burrendong end but have had no luck. Any ideas?

As far as I am aware (I am a surveyor by the way) there is no public legal road through there. There is a right of carriageway from the end of the Cudgegong Caravan Park but I am sure it is for private access only. Worlds End Rd is also private. So unless you are mates with land owners there is no legal way through.
