Indeed, cazart. A suddenly dead motor can be very nasty in some situations.
I'm glad it did not turn on you like a rabid pig. I suspect the bike still has feelings for you, they may not be nice feelings though. Bring it an offering when you return to it. We are surrounded by adventure, only when something goes horribly sideways do we see it. Just how fast will a Fiat go? Happy trials

FIAT also make nice cars.
And, in some weird sense, the FIAT Panda is a perfect car just like the R1150GS is a perfect motorcycle. That is, made with great care for a specific purpose. Nothing that doesn't aim in achieving the goal has been included. I am sorry to say that transporting a 202 cm tall man for hundreds of kilometers on the Autostrada wasn't a design criterium. For better or worse ![]() My friend Marco at BMW bet me a lunch that the problem with Bamsefar is that the wires below the ignition keys are torn. The problem is that it is hard to get to them. We'll see; I'll return the car tomorrow, and then I'll check out the bike as well. Fortunately there was no 2008/9 model BMW R1200GS Adventure with ABS on the floor in BMW Pisa today. Or else....... Bummer that your bike died, the story stopped and that you had to drive the Panda. Sometimes life sucks.

Riding in Portugal: The end
It took me an hour to repair the bike. But it is now parked outside our house.
I can thus say: The vacation in Portugal is (finally) over. Work on the Ride Report will start without further delay! [TaSK]

Indeed it did. And I think it is ashamed for having let us down three times during one week.
Admittedly, it now has 169.000 km on the odo, but still. [TaSK]

In your picture the new bike looks like a terrified virgin glancing at Bamsefar
She looks quite lovely, if you don't mind me saying so. Perhaps you could name her Further? Envy is nothing to this.
