Thanks, Redbull. The ride didn't turn out as intended, but I think it
was better.

In a few cases the rides in the countryside turned into Adventures.
I hope to get my story in here when I get more orgyeyezed.
Just a quick note to say, I met a bunch of great youngsters over the weekend.

Ratman Pete.........Some good pictures already

Good job RedBull for starting the thread and nice pics.

Nowwhat, that will be your last ride as a Noobie! Thanks for the pics though. When you got pinned down by your bike, I had a choice of take pictures or come to your rescue. I chose the latter since there will be more picture opportunities, he, he, he.....

Ok folks, the first ride started by heading to the Pinnacles (south of Trona). Most of the noobs took the advance route, and the smart noobs (not too many of them though) did the easy route.

Just about ready to take the plunge!

Thakns to River Rat, always there to help me pick up my bike!

Spafxer here who took over as our ride leader after we lost DaveBro!

How did you manage at DV with only a 2.5 Gal fuel tank? Did you carry extra gas with you and if so how?

Looking forward to all the coming pics of your great weekend ride. Good job organizing the whole event.
I saw an Xchallenge at the moto show this weekend with a Touratch adventure tank....AWESOME!

OK, so while the more adventurous noobs were off playing in the sand, the smarter noobs were already at the Pinnacles.

Nothing in this direction...

A big c**k in the desert.

IBMike looking out for the "others"...

You get to ride around these things too...

Osii Mike hitting some deep sand and backtracking FAST....

After exploring for a few minutes...we waited...

I told the smarter noobs to continue on, since they still had a full day of riding and only 4 hours of daylight. So they took off...

Osii Mike got tired of waiting and he decided to continue on and catch up to the noobs...

I stuck around and waited another 20 minutes before the main group finally arrived. Actually, only about 4 guys made it. The rest were still out there somewhere...

Gary told me that DaveBro broke a clutch lever going down in the sand, but luckily had a spare.

He estimated that they were about 15-20 minutes behind....they weren't...it was about another 45 minutes.

Awesome!!!

For those of you reading this and wanting to go, there is an annual trip to Death Valley every January. Its the DVDaze, and Advrider has a big contingent ride over every year.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258058

Keep 'em coming...
