Mighty tempting. I may have to work on Sat, though. I just bought a Native Ultimate 14.5, from Hook Line and Paddle a few weeks ago, so I'd love to do some fishing out of it.

Where you planning on going? Wrightsville?

If not, maybe I can at least meet ya'll for a ride through GS on Sunday... With a 1 year old and a 2.5 year old at home, it's hard to get a kitchen pass at all, much less for the whole weekend, these days...

Buddha. I don't know where we are going yet. One of us has a nice creek with access to Cape Fear in his backyard. We'll probably go through there, but, I am going to try and talk him into putting in a little closer to some bluer water, with a little more salt.

How do you like that kayak? My main ride is a Perception 13, but looked at the Ocean Kayak Prowler 13.5 that looks would look good sitting under me. I may be upgrading soon

Sunday, come on out and ride. We'll definitely have the plan later on in the week.

love the kayak so far. i've only paddled it a few times now. spent the weekend paddling it around Sunset Harbor/Oak Island sound when I bought it, and it's great in the big water. I paddled down a local river this past weekend, and it was great for that as well... except... i have to either buy the bow skirt to enclose the front, or figure out a new way to launch it from a steep bank. when i launched into the river, i just did my normal sit-on-top style launch of getting into it on land and sliding it off into the water. Well... that didn't work. The bow dove, and I went for a swim.

From the status on my package, I'm probably gonna miss out on this weekend also. Which is BS cause it's been the nicest/longest run on dry weather in a while.

NC TAG game made it to Durham today. Maybe you can grab the TAG when you go there.

No patience for all the quotes:

Buddha, excuses are like assholes, everyone has them but only a few truly perfect the idea. Be a part of the former and not the latter and yak with us. You'll enjoy it.

Wynn, say what you want, I'll tell the video story. It's more funner. Don't polish the rod too much, you'll go blind. Blind kayaking sounds rough, but after the night ride you posted, you might be ok (hahaha)

Dirt Dobbler, whatevs. You'll be there Sunday. You will succumb to the kayak thing sometime or another, we'll make sure of it

Evan, shot you a PM. You're riding this weekend, Sunday.

Tim, love ya man. You can pimp my ride anytime. Maybe you could be "safety driver" for us.

Loving this whole "Adventure Weekend" thing. I hope we can keep it up.

Hey guys... If you can make the ride this weekend you are all welcome... If you can't make it well then you just suck..... Just kidding... I know my time is coming when I will have to lay out of some rides.... that whole trying to fix my marriage thing is going to get in the way of my weekend fun... Oh well I guess we have to make sacrafices to make things work sometimes.....

So whats the plan.. B-fast? Then head down to the GS.. Hopefully my pride has healed enough to ride like my normal self......

Went to the Kayak store today and talked for about an hour....Just wish now that I had the dough to get one.... Oh well...

Check out craigslist and wilmingtonyardsales.com the local yuppies are usually selling their old stock this time of year.
