Hello all

Just picked up KTMJake's 06 TE610. Quite excited about getting back into trail riding and maybe doing some camping trips. I had looked at the new 08's, but I know I would not be happy throwing a beautiful shiney bike down a fire trail.

I'm planning on a new set of bars and maybe a jetting kit. Also, anyone have after-market pegz they can recommend?

cheers

Pivot Pegz are what I am going for, they seem to be the best thing to work with the Huskys unusually high brake lever and short distance gear shifter.
Other guys have gone for the Fastway Pegs, you can see them on this page on a 610 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...56429&page=263

Thanks mate, I already tried to buy from billsmc off ebay and from justtanks in the US as well. Bill told me he couldnt send through mail and courier was $400 same from the other guys. It seems that the tank is just over the dimensions that USPS will allow since 9/11!
I have emailed R&D already as well but havent heard back from them, I will call them friday if no one on here wants to sell one?

edit: R&D just emailed me back. So unless there is a second hand one lurking around I will order one through them??

Gentlemen,

I would like to introduce you to my new TE 610! I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and finally got a chance to go for a proper ride today. It was good fun, the bike has so much grunt and feels really solid offroad. Got plenty of work to go but I got a B&B bashplate on and i'm picking up some Barkbusters this weekend.

Big thanks to Rhino for his help and answering my questions, got some pics from today's ride.

Hi all,

I've had my '08 for about 6 weeks now. I have only been riding bikes for the last year but I find the 610 makes me feel more confident riding. Have now had two good rides through the yengo and wollemi national parks north west of sydney. I don't have any 'action' shots, but here is my bike in the carpark at work...

thanks mark & ron...

i trawl through the main 610 thread on occasion (you can get lost for ages in there) and the last i think i saw was that someone is working on a long range tank but no specific timing. for info's sake, on my last ride i did a 240km loop between fuel stops and used 11 litres for this. almost all of the riding was between 2nd and 3rd gear. i thought this was pretty good.

The question is Rhino, how did you get the bike there??!!!! Muddy track, muddy boot prints next to bike, clean rear tyre??????

Magic, strength, use of the legendary sky hook
