Gaylord MI Adventure roads

Just got got back from a cruise and met some people from Gaylord , Me and my wife would like to take a ride up to visit them on the 950 this summer and I was wondering if there was any good riding up in those parts?

Certainly a lot of options in that area. You could head northwest to 119 in Harbor Springs and hit the famous Tunnel of Trees. If you're into polish food, make sure to hit Legs Inn at the end.

Right where I live! Lots of trails, forest roads all over up here. Though the Upper Peninsula is better. If your looking for street riding as has been said M119 through Harbor Springs is good. Most of the good paved stretches are on the West side of the state. Offroad you have lots of forest roads, through the Pigeon River Forest. Or numerous trails, with lots of sand.

I stayed pretty much around Gaylord all summer on my DRZ, and was never bored. Mostly trails. The 990 is more fun for me on the forest roads.

Where'd you go on your cruise? My nephew is from Gaylord and just went on a cruise.

Lots of good riding all across northern Michigan. Take a ride across Big Mac to the UP while you're in the neighborhood!

You made it this long what's a few more weeks? Save some of that shitty weather for me. I head back to Michigan next week and I need to appreciate where I've been all winter. I'm starting to take this nice weather for granted.

. Your missing the primo ice fishing season on Lake Cadillac. Do they still have bike races during the winter fest?

Hey , yea if you guys come out this way id be happy to tag along on my xr600r if you dont mind, i live in mancelona which is about 20 minutes from gaylord but the trails are all in between. I've lived here my whole life and still dont know all the trails haha.

But theirs good trails all the way from traverse city to gaylord. Also in harbor springs is something alot of bikers do in the fall is go through the tunnel of trees. I havent done it yet but id like to this year with a group.

Their is also a dual sport club that does rides all around northern michigan called Great lakes dual sport club (i think). Its only $10 to join... Pretty cool group.

Let me know if you make it up to the bridge. I live just south of there, and could show you some really nice FS roads just over the bridge. Once over the bridge you can make it to the Hiawatha National Forest in about 15 min.
