Does YOUR 990 Escargot?!?!

I figured this would be appreciated here in Orang Crush: My motorcycle club here in AZ recently put on a GP-style race, and as a sideshow we used a large section of flat dirt parking lot to make an "Escargot".

What's an Escargot, you ask? It's a course(in this case, a single timed test) or section of course where the intended line is a sort of spiral - like a snail or escargot:

You start on the outside, then wind in to the middle(in one constricting-radius turn), turn around, and come back out - all a timed test.

It's mostly reserved for dirt bikes, but the 990 fared pretty good with the wet dirt we had. Here's what it looks like when famed desert racer Destry Abbott makes it look really easy to be really fast:

...and when you try and whip a 990 around the same course:

I took some more video, but I had to get back to helping with the race, fixing ribbons on the course and helping riders through the endurocross section...

Great stuff Tim......

I think I'll steel the idea this Sunday, it'll be good fun in the Texas monsoon (it's raining cats and dogs here!).

Embedded video?

Can anyone help me with the code for the video? Neduro got it to work wit the fisrt video, but now when I tried to do the same thing(past in the "embed" html code from YouTube...) it screwed up AND screwed up the one of Destry that Ned got to work!

I give any admin full rights to change my post as neccessary to get the stuff to work - I promise I wont tamper with it again!

Nicely handled. You made the beast look downright nimble.

I turn left better than right so decreasing radius going left would be okay and increasing going right would help. If the course was the other way, I'd be screwed.

Thanks for sharing.
