Thanks Bob for the above, it's pretty windy here at my place too.

WE HAVE TO CANCEL TODAY'S RIDE BECAUSE OF THE GUSTY WINDS!

Good chance that tomorrow and Saturday will be riding friendly.

I still plan on heading out there tomorrow and not sure who will be there. Anyway, I will look for the rest of the gang on Sat morning at Stoddard Wells. I assume Rick that you'll set up your campsite somewhere there too!

I am planning on pulling the trailer out there at oh-dark-thirty Saturday.
White trailer, Gray Ford crew-cab. Sleepy, grumpy Russian girl in back.

It gets really windy out there.
I wouldn't recommend a tent unless If you have rebar for stakes.
I few weeks ago I was sure the roof was going to rip off the house.

+1 one on Hero Acres, good breafix
I gotta organize a ride sometime out at my moto-ranch.
Maybe Februrary?

Our Death Valley trip is off and I'm sitting here wondering what to do. Dual sport is loaded up in the toyhauler.

I'm a newbie to dual sporting and need some training, what type of rides are planned (or will be planned). I'd have to bring Wife and kids, my oldest rides a quad, is there something for her to do?

Can someone respond ASAP, otherwise I need to get the TH back to storage.

Thanks,

SP

Johnson Valley (Means Dry Lake) should be good, and as well as Stoddard Valley. There's plenty of room for a motor home. Both places are wide open. I plan to be at JV tomorrow around noon doing mostly practice and training. The real ride is on Saturday at Stoddard.

Have fun regardless.

Don't worry about it, there will be plenty of folks out there and tons of room. Saturday is at Stoddard Wells and Friday is at Means Lake.

UPDATE: BossyRussianGirl may be replaced by NewlyWhipped/MarriedSon Saturday.

The JV is noob's, screwing around on the lake bed, but the Stoddard could be different, and no way I will know unless someone already has a plan.

I rode thru there today about 3:00 and I had the elec. vest and grips on full! I would recommend snugglin' in the motor homes if you guys are camping. I'm wiped. 11 hour ride home from Kingman today. Oatman at Sunrise was COOL! ( the rest was just COLD!) Have fun tomorrow, I'll be sleeping.

Looks like we'll be heading out to Stoddard Wells tomorrow morning. Couldn't make Meanes Lake. I'll follow Ricks directions to the campsite. We plan to stay till Sunday night and then head home.

Rick, I'll be in a white Carson FunRunner being pulled by a white Chevy crew cab 4x4, should be a Suzuki DR350 sitting nearby. I'll look for your Ford Saturday morning.
