G/day all

I have mixed emotions about putting up photo's of my best mate, he was a bloody big part of our lives for almost 16 years and he really enjoyed travelling in our sidecars, from the day we brought him home in the K1 outfit as a 6 week old pup till the day he died travelling with me in the Tuck Truck at the Dargo High Plains rally.
He was probably one of the most travelled dogs in Oz, saw a lot of Oz that a lot of people have not had the privilage to see, so here is to DJ the Jack Russell

DJ and I rode into the 2007 Dargo rally, he jumped out of the chair and for some unexplained reason he jumped into the river where after a short time paddling around, he rolled over and died
So with the help of a few friends we buried him there on the side of a hill overlooking the rally sight, with more then one person commenting that it was a pretty good place to end up.

What a sad story. Probably doesn't help, but he looks really happy in the pics and sounds like he had a great life right up to the end. I think when I've got to go, somewhere like that and one last bike trip would make it as good as it can be.

RIP DJ

Andy

+1

That's what I thought when I looked at him - that's a really happy dog. It was nice you had such a nice companion for all those years. I hope you are now training a new companion.

Rosie and I made a pact that she will live 3 minutes longer than me.
I'm holding her to it, too.

don't have a sidecare yet, but soon...........

whats the law with having a dog in a sidecare in California, is it written somewhere or is it a common sense/officer discretion kinda thing like with lane splitting in California?

Heart wrenching story, to say the least. DJ is undoubtedly having a fine time in Doggy Heavan.

I never leave home without my little Pug, Pugsley. He is only two, so he will probably outlive me. He loves to ride on the back of my ST. We've ridden over 12000 miles since I got him over a year ago. He loves sidecars too, but I don't own one at present.

Motorcycle riders who don't take their dogs with them just don't know what they're missing!

Couldn't find a cool pic with leather jacket, cap and goggles, but this is our dog, shot in the old sidecar of my wife:

Buster RIP (1997-2009)

Chris MacArdell asked me to put up a photo of my mate Buster who has done about 1000,000 klm in my out fit over the last 10 years.
He past away peacefully last Thursday.

Here is to Buster

A great dog, and a mate of my dog DJ

This was his office, with PJ on the right repairing a flat tyre.

PJ and Buster tackling the bulldust on the Donohue Hwy far western Qld.

Rest easy Buster

Richard-NL, that looks like a fun little dog.
Your wife is- well, appears to be quite striking, also.

I've had Jack Russells for most of my life , brilliant dogs .
Characters every one of 'em !
I'm putting a sidecar on a bike this year just to cart my German Shepherd and my daughter's Jack Russell around .
Reading your story gave me the necessary kick up the arse to get moving on this project again - thanks .

All the Best .

This saturday we were on a little trip with the Dutch GS-club in these parts of Holland. The former monkey (now banned to the passenger seat, due to lack of room ) took plenty of pictures during the way. Also quite some of "Storm", our little puppy dog of almost 16 months old

Crossing the North Sea Canal on a ferry:

If you had seen us racing the little dikes and rough roads, it's amazing he still wants to come with us. Can't be too comfortable in that sidecar
