I haven't talked to him, but if he made it home to put the pictures up on smugmug, he must be OK. He does have a good story about dropping a snowmobile through some ice that required a walk back to the house.

How about we meet at 9:30 and roll out at 10:00?
9:30 at the trail head? I'm in as long as the "light wintry mix" they are calling for on Saturday doesn't mess up the roads for sunday.

Given the forecast at this point, I'm out for this Sunday.

But there are still 3 weekends left until Brown closes!

If the weather is even slightly decent between Christmas and New Years, I'll be riding.

Yup, weather is not looking good. Post up if anyone heads over to brown or anywhere in the Wilson creek area. I can ride mid week so if someone is taking time off for the holidays and wants to ride I'd be down. Globe rd is also on my list, based on my research their are off shoot trails off Globe so I'd like to go with someone who is familar with that area.

I was planning to do some kind of ride this weekend, but this weather forecast makes that a sketchy proposition. We'll see what happens.

Good Gawd! Get out and ride while you still can!

Waightstill Avery's cemetery.

Now I know the way to the river.

I was a bit trepidatious to go into this trail, but then I asked myself, "What would Juha do?"

Wow!! you're cover up!

So far it's just been rain down here around CLT...a little sleet but no accumulation...yet.

I rode my other bike into work today. We closed up a little after 2:00 and my wife took this just as as I got home around 4. It's 7 miles. I used quite a bit of the 'one foot down' technique when going down the hills. The tires have carbide studs and if they can get to a solid surface, asphalt or ice, they grip pretty well. I spent a lot of time bouncing around between tracks in the snow.

The forecast is looking good for riding on God's own styrofoam cooler. Snow thaw freeze thaw freeze thaw freeze. Trails become suggestions
