Critters love me, what can i say?

More details please...

I'm guessing the dogs were chasing the bear in your direction and you happened to snag a cool-ass photo for a genuine ADV-style salute before they tackled you?...or is that a photo from a previous trip to the zoo?
Inquiring minds want to know...

What bear? I thought those were hounds!

just kdding....

Dead
bears tell no tells,

picture was accurate, and it has the date down in the right hand corner...

It was from a ride i took, though the indoor lighting kinda gives it away...

Now about that old trout pic....I could easily show the real photo...

Poncohontas was right...you could almost walk across the backs of trout at this one place i know about...(100s per linear 50 foot)
but what fun is that?
I'm just the kind of preservationist, i wish i didn't know about it...to keep it undisturbed...pristine, remarkable...

Canteen, you're welcome to check it out...and show me how to trout fish...anytime at all...

But the bear, all fun and games....

never any danger.....unless it was formaldehyde inhalation...

I would have to wear a helmet cam to show all the critter obstacles i run into day in and day out..

Critters love me...

NC Tag-o-rama

Kevin, If I had seen that Yadkin Valley overlook tag sooner, I would have beat Po-sloke to it. I was out in Western NC the past 2 days trying to bring it back to the hickory area but my efforts were foiled twice. We have got to get the HARDCORE riders in on this action because the WNC continengent is strong!

Hop on I-40 and/or US64 and head East..the current TAG should be easy to find.

(you'd have to pay me to go get it...really is the Pittsboro)

Anyone up for a mix of Brown Mountain and Maple Sally/Schoolhouse/Chestnut this weekend? I'll throw Sunday out as a starter, but I'm flexible at the moment.

I rode #2 last night and the big rock outcropping that you have to ride around/over has gotten tricky. I may have taken a bad line. The shady parts of Brown are still wet and tacky. Some places, it's still pretty wet. There's dust out there as well.

Clifford seems to have responded well to his pulse generator transplant.

Well I was in the area today doing a little dual sportin'...that's if you consider eating a sport!

Since getting the new V...the old Yammy was looking a bit lonely (and my wife can sleep on the back of it..no lie)

We were a bit late leaving home and made it up to the Parkway early this afternoon....the cotton gin in Fallston appears to up and running.

The clouds were beginning to roll in.

two two one was lookin' good

A couple of old relics....don't worry, she never looks at this site.

She's a bit camera shy.

Things were looking kind of rough while we ate on the deck at Canyons.

These furry critters were the stars of the show today.

Lots of other leaf peepers out today too.

I'd say the colors are near peak around Grandfather Mtn right now....still pretty green at lower elevations yet though.

Here's a crop from one of my many "guardrail photos" ..plenty of 'em in my smugmug. all pics HERE

As cloudy as it did get, we didn't see any rain though and we rode South all the way to eighty.

Anybody know these guys?

Chestoa view

The Black Mtns

It's still kinda green around Lake Tahoma too.

And in spite of our late start we made it back to the cotton fields by sunset.

10:00 at KMart in Morganton or 10:30 at Murphy Place. Maple Sally--> Schoolhouse-->??? Lucky is Stromming, so we're keeping it strictly clean and decent.
