Thanks!

Good reminder that adventure is not about being totally prepared for any eventuality. It's about getting out there!

My Uncle in 1948 on his Salisbury Scooter.

The love of this machine stuck with him so much that he bought a restored one in 2006 at the age of 76, and promptly donated it to his local transportation museum.

I've been lurking on this site for a long, long time and I came across this thread an equally long, long time ago and in fact a few of the opening pictures have been part of my screensaver for a long, long time.
Today I finally read through the whole of this thread and it struck me that I ought to add a little picture myself.
Sadly my Mother died earlier this year and in her photograph collection I came across this picture which I'd never seen before.
I remember Mother riding pillion with me once and she said she didn't like it but this is her and I taken in Dordon, near Tamworth, England on a Triumph Bonneville in around 1965.

Hustler,

Sorry to hear of your loss. That is a great picture, I like it a lot, and judging by her face I'd say she made the most out of life. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your sympathy Joe? and thanks for the enhancement ccco.
I've no idea what the camera would have been, but something cheap and common for the time at 45 years ago, so something like a Kodak Brownie is my guess.

You have to love enabelers of Motoaddictions

Love the pics. Here is the enabeler of my addiction. My uncle in the 60's and 70's living in Spain. He introduced me at a young age to this addictive drug and I am still hooked.

I still remember this bike. The first bike I ever got a ride on. A DUCATI! I have been a Ducatisti ever since. We once got puller over by the cops because I was riding on the tank (without a helmet). They said I had to ride on the back but was to small. We went about a block or two in Barcelona and then he put me back on the tank. Nothing better for a young moto addict than sitting on the tank and holding on to the bars pretending I was riding!

Check out the ADV boots.

He didn't bother holding up the tower!

The Nurburgring campground.

Cantonigros, Spain.
