You don’t stop riding because you’re getting old, but you get old when you stop riding.

I don't know about everyone else, but looking at these makes me think that the overly passionate condemnation of the "wrong" bikes by some people is kinda pointless. People all over the world have been taking whatever they have, pointing down the trail and saying, "Hell yeah, let's give it a try, what's the worse that could happen?" for a long time now. Adventure is where you find it, whether on the other side of the globe or just past the end of the pavement.
Not to say that there is anything wrong with some good-natured disparagement, but let's keep it fun.
Hear-hear!

Very well said mate.

This thread should be the introductory thread to Adventure Riding. This is where it all started. Guys on bikes getting out and having fun going where most don't dare go.

My first experience with a bike................ I was about 4 yrs old. 1958. Our Dentist, Dr Mulford was a fishing buddy of my Dads. He had a cabin in the Rampart Range someplace. My dad kept an old stripped Harley there. Maybe it was an Indian, I don't know for sure. But they cut grooves, side ways in the tires for more grip, and rode those bike around Rampart Range. Dad would give me a ride around the driveway on it. i sat on the tank, and the rumble scared the Shi**t out of me, but I wanted to go anyway. Thanks for the pix!

What a wonderful collection of fotos when you go through all 40 pages.

I can see I will need to send out some PM's to beg permission to use

some of these on a not for profit web site sometime.
