Cool thanks for the pics.

Mine was my second bike back in the early eighties.
Bought it off a friend who had found it burnt up on side of the road.
Had a DG pipe that stayed to the right side rather than the stock bend and the shock had been rebuilt by white brothers.

When my friend and his dad rebuilt the motor, they forgot the spacers that go in the cooling fins and the thing really made some noise. Like a ringing beyond the exhaust.

Years later they figured that out when someone else in our group had the bike.

Great memories, loved that bike.

I did the work myself. I think when it happened it was something like $60 for two new pistons with dykes rings. the bike only had 4,500 miles on it when it happened in 1993 so the cylinders only needed a light honing.

Mine was missing the mid pipe and muffler. Had Bill's Pipe in Corona fab that up for me.
