The way I'm SUCH a 2 stroke homer that may be the coolest ADV photo I've ever seen!

My first bike. I think it was my best bike.
I picked up that bike in bad condition. Band fork, almost dead engine. After two month of work it was looking much better.
![]() ![]() I have never had any major problem with my bike. Yes, sometimes it requires fixing on the road but nothing major.

I'm very interested in the quality and issieus of these russian 2 strokes.. i've already seem how bad they can be, i wonder if the older typoes are better, like this is the case with many cmmu- bikes..
This is my jawa 638. The 12V jawa's have 4 weak points which can be easily tackeld |

Are there poeple here with serious travelling experence with a 2 stroke?
Also, there's a modification (kit) which gives a jawa 350 more power in the lower RPM range, but i always understood that 2 strokes and hard work at low RPM = destroyed crankshaft, so i wonder if such a mod is very sensible.. |

I don't think moving the power down on a 2 stroke causes any more harm to the crank than high tuning for RPM's. That's where you can wear them out in a hurry. I wouldn't recommend using it as a tractor but in normal road use there should not be any significant issues.
