That R5 has been almost finished for about fifteen years. It would take a weekend to just put the parts on it. I just cant seem to pull myself away from other projects.

Not unless you lived in Utah. I bought two of them from the same guy. The first one I restored just in time for Park City Motorcycle meet in I think 1999. I sold the first one. It is the only motorcycle I have sold in twenty years. Still kinda stings.

Oooooo, factory pipes on a TDR!!!
A buddy of mine just got a set for his. Absolutely beautiful!!! He also laced a 19" rim on the front so he could use dual sport tires.....

I allways was a 2 stroke guy... Probably because where I'm from (eastern block) the "big" bikes of 80-ies were MZ-t, Jawas, 2 strokers without exeption. I had an old battered Jawa 350 ratbike I rode from Hungary to UK.
![]() right now I have a modified (of course...) jawa 350 again, the newer version. (hell knows why I did not buy the older one... ) ![]() I kept the fuel tank... Nowdays I started to be interested in those beautiful 70-ies trial and crossbikes... simplicity, light, powerful. Would be ideal tool to enjoy the ride to work in the town! :) |
