Central Phoenix--Tuesday, May 20th Dinner 6pm

I'm going over to La Tolteca, 1205 E. Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ 85006 for my post-election pre-TT Roadhouse dinner at 6pm.

For those of you who don't know, they have a wide variety of non-gringo Mexican food and drinks. The Pastor is excellent, as is the Adovada. They have a salsa that's every bit as hot as the stuff at Los Dos Molinos and good homemade escabeche. They serve the largest burro I've ever seen, it beat me into a coma the one time I ate it.

There is also a small mercado and a bakery with a bomb Tres Leches cake.

The parking lot is on the east side of the building.

Hope to see some of you there.

Look for the 280# bald biker wearing motorcycle gear. I'll be riding the Connie.

Excellent.

I think we met before--I went to a breakfast in Rock Springs with a bunch of ADV FF's when it snowed. I was on my Sportster at the time. Who knew riding I-17 could be an adventure?

Since I have to be at work @ 5am, if I see you it won't be for long.

We will have to get together some weekend. Connie's gonna be down this weekend getting her fuel system rebuilt.

Yeah, I remember that. Couldn't see a friggin' thing, that damn snow was so sticky on my visor. Good times!

Nice meeting you Frank!

BTW, I had a burro al pastor enchilada style with rice & beans on the side, molcajete-ground habanero salsa, a jalapeno en escabeche and finished the meal off with some bomb-ass flan and jamaica to wash it all down.

And some great conversation.

Those of you that didnt,
