Tecate . . .

. . . I had a great solo ride in Tecate this a.m. Cool, crisp air, and not a car on the road. Great trails riding; nothing technical . . . just miles and miles of dirt roads and hill climbs.

So . . . anybody up for anything next Saturday? My wifey gave me a pass, so I get to go out and play. I am thinking of maybe even spending the night south of the border. I was thinking maybe Laguna Hansen, or anywhere else for that matter. So long as it is not my office.

Hey Pelon, I'd like to take you up on a Tecate ride sometime, but I'm working this Saturday. Some other time maybe?

Definitely. As it turns out, Saturday probably would suck anyways, because we are supposed to get a rain storm tomorrow that will last through the weekend. If that's the case, I'll probably just go out to Plaster City; either that or take the land cruiser down to play in the mud.

I can go either Sunday 1-13 or Saturday 1-19. Do either of those days work for you?

1/13 looks good. Maybe run down to Laguna Hansen and back?

Laguna Hanson and back on January 13 is good.

Is it OK if I invite some other riders? I know of a few who've said they'd be interested in a Tecate day ride.

Ok! We need to pick a meeting spot. I am assuming everyone will be able to ride to Tecate and there won't be any trailering?

I live on Mt. Helix, which is close to the 94, but my house is a bitch to find . . . we could meet here, or we could meet in front of the theatres at Rancho San Diego, and then ride down. From there, we are about a half hour from the border. We also could meet at the border?

This time of year, we probably want to get an early start. Maybe meet at 7 or 730? That will give us at least 9 full hours of daylight, not that we will need that much.

Not sure which bike I will ride, but probably the 450 . . .

Ok, looks like 2Wheels and I have worked out some of hte logistics. We have chosen a meeting spot, and a general itinerary. So far there are three confirmed riders, and a few possibles. If you are interested, PM either 2Wheels or me for more info.
