I left the window cracked in my truck last night. Pretty sweet having frost on the steering wheel...

Well, if he knows, how come he don't do something about it. Shirley he wants to pee in the yard occasionally and it's too cold for that!

I hope you ensured that she was insured before you assured Shirley that she was . . .

Brilliant movie. My favorite line when vinny suggests that perhaps some of his troubles are caused by Mona Lisa's outfit: Lisa: "Yeah. You blend".

wonderfully cast too. Who better to play Mona Lisa than Marisa Tomei.

Bless her heart, in Wild Hogs, she was miserably miscast. IMHO.

+1 on these comments Counselor !

I think besides the "utes" line I like "I - dentical" along with hand signals. I use that line all the time and get some really strange looks. You really have to know your audience.

Just curious I haven't been riding out there for almost a year and I recently read an article in the news regarding major upgrades to the motorcycle trails of Springhill Road. Anyone have any input or have seen these reported upgrades????

Also how often are 'Permits' checked for riding in the ANF ?

Thanks in advance..........

Anyone know of a good shop in Tally that would do right by me on my transmission?

Had this happen on the way home from work this summer and am just now getting it torn apart, so I figure it's time to do some other much needed stuff too.

I was checked for permits and tags more in 2013 than I have been in the rest o' my forty years riding out there combined. LCSO has a detail in the ANF and I was this year checked out by the FCC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) one one occasion.

Two observations on the article: 1) I think it's an effort to ween us off of using Silver lake for a trail head; and 2) I think the less publicity about motorcycles hauling ass around in the ANF, the better. I was surprised to see the Tallahassee Trail Riders taking part in the announcement. Don't think it's a great idea. That's cuz nobody, from hypoteloric hunters to hefty gone-to-seed former flower children who hate all of humanity almost as much as they hate themselves, think motorcycles in the forest is a good idea.

I also don't think it's a good idea to use the trails that one doesn't pay for, but that's just me. Old school ethics I think.

So long as one stays on the numbered forest roads, but not if one wants to use the OHV trails. One must be street legal including tag and registration to ride the numbered roads unless one has a permit to ride the OHV trails, in which case one can ride only those designated sections of the numbered roads to get from one OHV trail to the next. Of course, that's a legal view of "required". One can ride illegally but having observed phase changes at the Federal Dept of the Interior, I think doing so puts our "right" to ride in the forest at increasing risk, and subjects the rider to a $125 fine, don't ax how I know.

The existing OHV/street legal/numbered roads arrangement with the ANF came about with one hell of a lot of effort by the riding community. It's a fragile arrangement that should be handled with care, in my view.
