On the ground a few times? Do tell.....

Yeah... I think that Deet is the answer. I hate the smell of the nasty stuff but the alternatives ain't purdy but then neither am I...

me and the little XT were following much faster riders last weekend through some of the worst, wooped out/ sandy areas of the ORV.... I was only good for about an hour of that stuff before I got too tired and hot to keep up.
With the stock gearing the XT will pull 2nd no problem, but has a tough time in 3rd when the sand gets real deep or there is a direction change. At one point I stopped and on the restart the sand was deep enough that I simply sat there spinning the rear. I was making a bunch of noise and going nowhere (almost like I was riding an HD )

The KTM would have to nuts to stay on top of it, but I really don't care to ride in that mess if I can avoid it- A case where it's easier to ride a fast bike slow, than wring a slow bikes neck... Savvy

I'm liking it pretty well so far. I just gotta figure out where to put that repair kit.

When will my shirt be here? I may need one soon!

TICKS? TICKS? You mean there are Ticks out there? That's it im selling the bike and staying indoors. Haven't seen any yet. Of course they may have all migrated to my rear and I just haven't seen them. The key is to ride fast and don't stop until you get out, And if you crash leave enough blood on the trail lure them away.

I think we are going to go for a ride early Sunday morning to beat the heat. Anyone interested just let us know. The riding should be good since there was a little rain Thursday.

The ticks are afraid you just start eating them.
