Thumbs down To hell with winter ride

Hello all. First time poster here...

I live in Idaho, and right now we are the the grip of hell winter. It seems like it snows every other day. For Christmas the wife and I bought ourselves an Adventure 990 - needless to say, this snow, snow, and more snow is really getting me down, because I want to RIDE!

Today as it happened, there was this big, blazing light thing in the sky that i havent seen in a long time. Alas, it had no warmth to it, the temperature was at 6 degrees when I walked outside. I decided I'd had enough of being thwarted by this miserable cold, and that I would go for a ride anyway, and give winter the old ADV salute.

I dont have much of a ride report really, I only managed a nice 10 mile loop before I was ready to concede to the cold.. but hey... just riding these roads was an adventure in itself!

About 3 miles of this to bare pavement...

I find your lack of nice weather disturbing

Screw winter.

Laugh "short report"

Wow, was the wife on back? That would be an adventure. I gotta say you gotta be real good friends with somebody to be indoors with them all winter long. hats off to the wife. She's probably had about enough of your wanting to go out and play by now.

Thanks for the welcome...no, I didnt take her with me...I dont think she would have liked it much, although she wants to ride almost as badly as I do. Weve got some good trips planned and soon as it quits SNOWING.

Looks like the North Pole?

It was 81' today and I had to put on sunblock by 9:00am.

I like the pretty white stuff in that one pix.
