Very nice. I'm picking up an '80 1100E this week (pictures are on the last page) but I honestly like the look of the 1000s better.

Saw this on CL today. Nice looking bike. No comment on the asking price.

My neighbor/buddy's 1980 GS550. Got it for free as it atrophied in a garage for at least a decade. He cleaned it up nicely and it's a strong runner. He quit his job as a home improvement contractor to be a full time mechanic at a local motorcycle shop.

I found a 1978 GS 750 next door to where I work that someone wants out of a garage. It is complete, but has been sitting.
I'm thinking of making a hack rig out of it. Has anyone done such a thing?

My old GS-850 with Velorex car. Just got rid of the bike but still have the car and may bolt it to another GS if I find a nice one.

89 GS500E With lots of mods. Build specs and more pics here. http://maniccycles.blogspot.com/
Before with aftermarket Targa fairing and chin spoiler with an 04/05 GS500F fuel tank.Pretty much all stock. ![]() After mods.I wanted a very subtle sleeper look that wouldn't attract to much attention like a full on sport bike. ![]() I bought two wrecked 92 GS500E 95% complete. This one is project "Lite Tourer",and this is how it started.I will be adding updates on my blog about it. ![]() This is the other one.It was going to be street fighter-ish, but the frame is bent in a spot that isn't worth fixing. So it along, with my track bike frame, is going to be come a trike. ![]() I'm kind keeping the trike set up under wraps for now as I may start offering a few kits,if things work out the way I want. Most trike kits are for the big luxo cruisers and cost a lot.I'm trying to bring something to market for the average guy that doesn't wanna spend $4000+ to convert his or her bike.
