kolpin has really gone to shit. The new caps they use leak like hell and there's no fixing them. Look at rotopax.com I have 3 of these and they are solid (rotomolded vs blown plastic) leak proof and tough as hell.

they have a discount for advers too.

Try Rotopax (sp?). Solid construction, but don't know about legal use in California.

Plus the rotopax have an easy to attach bracket and are good for water or gas. Here is a link to a Canadian site but I am sure you can find them elsewhere.

I think the California requirement must have been specified by the oil companies. The new cans I have used seemed to spill about 50% of what you transfer. In general I don't complain about the air pollution laws in CA because I remember how much worse the air was back in the 70's, but unless there are better "legal" gas cans than the ones I have used, they really blew it on their gas can regulations.

I have both the RotopaX and Kolpin. They both work great and C.A.R.B. compliant. GSessories makes the mounting and has the fuel packs.
