We just finished our first Novice S/TEP class for the season, and we had a delightful weekend! I will post more photos soon.
![]() Our next Novice S/TEP Class is the first weekend in June. If you have little or no prior motorcycle experience, the First Step program provides you with an opportunity to become familiar with the controls before class begins. This can take a lot of the pressure and worry off, allowing you to have a more enjoyable and successful experience. Sidecars are included at no additional cost for the First Step and Novice S/TEP classes. You may use your own sidecar if you prefer, provided it is insured and in safe operating condition If you'd like to camp with us in a Tipi while you attend class you can rent a cot for $50 a night June 1-3, 2012 Adventure Sidecar Novice S/TEP Class $275.00 June 1, 2012 First Step $75.00 June 1-3, 2012 Adventure Sidecar Tipi Camp $50.00 per night The following weekend we are offering a Dualsport Sidecar Skills seminar at the Black Dog Dualsport Rally in Hood River. It will include an Advanced S/TEP class which will cover some of the same material as the Novice class, but will focus on advanced techniques and some off pavement skills and rollchart navigation. You should have some sidecar experience, preferably including having attended a Novice S/TEP class. Sidecars are not included for this class-bring your own or rent one of ours. If you bring your own rig, you will need to have a rollchart holder and an enduro computer capable of reading .01 miles and easy to reset. GPS can be a welcome addition but does not replace the computer. You can use a bicycle computer modified to fit your bike Sunday's Black Dog ride is included with the registration We are also offering a special sidecar passenger workshop with this program. This includes passenger registration. We will have the tipis set up at the fairgrounds. Whether you take the class or not you can rent a cot in a tipi for $50 a night June8-9, 2012 Adventure Sidecar Dualsport Skills at the BlackDog Adventure Sidecar Dualsport Skills Seminar Driver Only $350 Adventure Sidecar Dualsport Skills Seminar Driver + Sidecar Passenger Workshop $475 June8-9, 2012 Adventure Sidecar Tipi Camp $50.00 per night Contact Hood River Community Education to register for class or reserve space in the Tipi 541 386 2055 Go to adventuresidecar.com for complete schedule and more details http://adventuresidecar.com/

Hero shots
We had a great Novice S/TEP Class the first weekend of June. Our next class is July6-8. Call Hood River Community Education 541 386 2055 to sign up. You can make reservations to stay in the Tipi at the same time, if you wish. We also offer "First Step" a 2 hour pre class practice session, Friday, before the Novice S/TEP class begins. This is for students with no prior motorcycle experience to get a chance to practice using the controls on the bike.
Here are some pix from the last class: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I apologize for the inconvenience; I am so sorry this popped up in so many of my posts. Damned hackers and cyber thieves! I wish some programmer would write a poison pill that would counter attack these bastards! Thank you Andy for all your hard work fixing this problem.

just finished the July Adventure Sidecar Novice S/TEP class. We had students coming from Southern Oregon and Idaho. I arranged blazing hot weather so they would feel at home
Every one did fine and passed with flying colors! Some pix: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bill mastering drifting technique ![]() ![]() Don't run over my dog! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The hero shots: ![]() ![]() ![]() I found out this is the last year we will be able to use this field. If I can't find another suitable driving range nearby the class scheduled Sept 28-30, 2012 may be our last class. If you want to take this class you should contact Hood River Community Education 541 386 2055 and get enrolled.

Great Class!!!!!!
As one of the students this weekend, I would highly recommend this course. I learned a lot that will help me in my future sidecar adventures! Vernon is a great instructor!

![]() That's horrible! Here's hoping you find another great grassy place - one of the big advantages I've felt you had was the uneven, grassy/slippery dirt terrain you conduct the range on is ~better~ than doing this on asphalt... those little bumps translate into an experience more like encountered "on the road" and will allow an operator to better prepare for riding in public than any parking lot can. The other advantage is using the 650's... great fun throwing a roost coming out of a corner!

My last class for the season is scheduled for the last weekend in September. I only have one student registered so far. I have not filled a class all summer and I won't have this field next year so I am suspending operation next season. If you want to take this class from me you should sign up for the upcoming class by calling 541 386 2055 during the school week or follow the links at adventuresidecar.com to the community education online registration.
![]() I will be selling some of the bikes after this final class

Say it isn't so!
I would recommend anyone with an interest in sidecars to get in on this last opportunity to learn with Vernon. The course is tremendous fun, in a great place and with enthusiastic and knowledgable tutors. Will you still be running the advanced classes and trips for people on their own rigs?
