Suzuki RV90 Copy...Pretty cool.

Went to a local Sportsmans show today and they had a china RV90 copy on display. 125cc four stroke, electric and kick start and street legal. $1800. Would be fun to do a distance trip on one

My cousin dropped a four cycle Lifan engine in his Suzuki RV90...fun little bikes. Here's a pic of the coversion.

old japanese bikes like that are ideal things for the chinese to copy and keep alive...not so happy when they copy current things.

Ok...that does look pretty cool! Also liked the Honda ZB50 replica that they had.

Hodakaguy

I had a Suzuki early '70s version that this past summer I found had been stolen from a barn at my family farm in Michigan. I had planned to bring it back with me to Washington and put a Lifan 125 in it and ride a section or two of the WABDR. I see some of the Chinese scooter importers sell the clone with 125cc for not much more than what it would cost me to have redone my old one. I would order one now but reading reviews of these importer businesses pretty much scares me off.

Has anyone bought from one of the China scooter importer and not had a horrible experience? I'm not worried about assembling and going over the bike without instructions or scratches or dents out of the crate. I'm more concerned about headaches from the importer like them not sending the bike for weeks, not sending MSO or whatever I need to license it, credit card fraud, the big headache stuff.

Anyone license a China bike like this in Washington, any headaches from that?
