Do'h whats wrong with me. Bubble wrap and newspaper. I got the best whitetail jerky, you would love, maybe not Alaskan Salmon, but just as good, coming your way! Good to know my shock is now in good hands!

Cogent rocks

You guys are in for a treat when you get your shocks back. I had mine done last year - built to lower the bike. Even though I am not much of an aggressive off road rider it makes a superb street shock. When I see rough buckeled pavement I just stand up and gas it. There is no drama - it just goes over everything keeping the wheels in contact with the surface. While it's the most money I've spent on the DR it's also the best money I've spent.

Eh? crazy shocker

Just occurred to me how crazy it is that I am so excited to get to spend money....
I have read that insanity is hereditary, you get it from your kids.
No kids, so I must have gotten it from this website!

Hmmmm, ADictive Ventures?

How else do you explain a 57 year old guy who hadn't ridden in 7 years, can go from no bike to 6 bikes in less than a year?
And spending money on shocks, seats, exhaust systems, jet kits, and so on... Crazy!!! And lovin' it!

And all because I found this website by chance.
I can't ride my bikes until spring and still I am eager to get my shock back.
My wife may want to get me committed, just so I stop buying bikes.

We are in parallel worlds. I'm almost 56 and should know better by now. Don't really understand what the "better" means but obviously I don't get it.

I was away from motorbikes for 30 years. Got back in the saddle a few years ago and I can't seem to slow the beat of the drum down. I have excersized restraint and only own one motorbike but have spent enough money on upgrading it to buy a couple of more bikes. I think that makes us almost even.

I am stoked about the rear shock. Two weeks ago I mated a 03 yz450f front end to my DR. Today was the first chance I had to put some miles on it. Highly recommended upgrade. It put a smile on my face everytime I twisted my throttle and opened the FCR-MX carb up and then grab a big handfull of front brake squeezing the pads on the ProCycle oversize front rotor.

Now my bars are too high. This means I need to reconfigure my bars and controls. Man those HDB setup look great. Where does it stop? How do I stop it?

FYI, phone is the best way to get hold of Rick. I've had a PM go unanswered but he is pretty available and responsive to phone calls.

Hi Folks,

Yea, I get a little busy and don't spend the time I would like on the forums these days. We try hard to keep up with our email and phone. Only one phone line coming in here and either Joyce or I will answer or call back. we are taking a few days off with Visiting family. A couple of our guys are in and out working on customer stuff. The shock bodies have been at the metal finishing company all week and Jim is checking with them to hopefully pick them up later today.

We have several more shocks than anticipated and some of the late comers will ship out after the first wave due to the fact that the pre-build of shaft assemblies was not big enough (we build up 7 sets). We did hold up and make sure everyone's shocks got into the hard coat batch.

That is great to hear!
More people were able to get in on the deal.
Considering how eager I am to get my nice new rebuilt shock back and installed, and I can't ride my bike for another 4 months, I am sure those who live farther south are really anxious to test them out.

Thanks for keeping us posted Rick.

Hi Folks,

Most of the DR shocks are now assembled and tested, waiting for Joyce to invoice and ship. We will offer a special deal on fork parts (Emulators and Springs) for those who want them with their shock. If folks want us to do the installation, we are offering 25% off of our normal installation price before January 10 2012.

I got THE call today from Joyce. Bad news was she wanted final payment. The antivenom was they will ship soon.

i was gonna get in on this, but i cheaped out and bought a used shock w/race-tech gold walves and an eibach spring for $125, plus a stock shock i picked up on ebay - originally intended to send to cogent. i hope i am not sorry. i only use my bike ('tarded) for street, so i am hoping it will be ok. if i am not satisfied, i may be looking for the next cogent group buy...
