I dropped my shock off at the Cogent Dynamics shop today. Joyce says they now have a "group" of 3. They need at least 3 more to send the lot of shock bodies off to the ceramic coater. If you've been considering this, NOW is the time. The group buy saves you about $100 on the ceramic coating. That means less friction and longer, much longer, life.

I'll be calling them on Wednesday (12/26/2012) to see if we are still on for the 'group' buy? It's been two months since anyone has posted?

I got a PM from Rick a couple days ago. Looks like the deadline for next group buy is sometime next week. I'm sure he'll post up again this week.

Mine went out today as well.
Also in the lowered position.

The DRZ400SM forks went out to FBI today too.

mine's going out on Saturday. I am taking the long travel option rather than the lowered! Better to match the impending fork swap I have planned!

Long travel would be sweet.....as a matter of fact I dream of all the bikes I would have if i was tall....or even regular height for that matter :/

The forks will transform your DRZ. I have two complete wheel sets and suspension for my DRZ and had them both done by Eddie at Epic Motorsports in CO.....I don't think I will ever own another bike that isn't properly valved and sprug....HUGE difference...wait till you get that SM suspension back :)

...I keep forgetting how quick the "reply page" times out...gotta type this again....

I am doing DRZ400SM forks on my DR650.
I am having 1.5" removed from them to match the current height and geometery.

I scored a set of, like new SM forks on eBay for $250.

And the SM's 310mm rotor.
I have waited 2 years to research and fund this project....the bike is in the kitchen and the stock front end is going to be off tonight.

Thank you folks for all the shocks that showed up! We were a little surprised by the volume (pleasantly to be sure )

We are a bit ahead of the curve... all the shock bodies are back in the shop with the Ceramic hard coat and many of the shaft kits are pre-built. Some of the shocks will be together today. We are short on some parts to do the total volume. Springs are on the way (we needed more than our stock levels could provide) and we are waiting for additional clevis ends that are in the machining center now. We want to prioritize building and shipping shocks to those of you who can actually ride this time of year. We hope that all the shocks will be shipped by late next week. The first ones shipping this week may represent a record for fast turn around considering we started disassembly on Tuesday this week. We are trying to sort out what shocks are short or long, some of the notes were not totally clear. We are very happy and excited about getting this rather large batch out to you folks to enjoy. Thank you again everyone!
