When the bash plate came off Joe wondered if we'd found a $3,000 o-ring.

And I marveled that the ignition and charging system continued to function.

Couldn't get my toolbox and the motor into the trunk of my car at the same time. The tear-down will begin in the basement once I get it home.

So, today I went out to a mill pond south of Brantford and saw a guy having a little fun with his buddies.

This is what multi-time and current Canadian Superbike Champion Jordan Szoke does when he gets a day off in February:

Wow. that bike must have been soaking in mud. sheesh.

Great pic of the guy on ice.
Lornce I think your content to post count ratio is quite superior. (but don't get a big head or you'll need a new helmet!)

Just thought I would join in the fray, Lornce.

I have been lurking but never subbed to ADVRider till today, I want to follow the progress live...

All in all your GS is in sound mechanical shape, not with standing the mud detailing. It was a pleasureable day and I am glad I was invited to help, even though I don't get my hands dirty anymore(until I touched that bike). Thanks also for the inspiration to get rid of the R1200ST and pick up a dirty bike I will try to make Labrador.

Well, it's back to work for me!

Ouch!

I just felt a prod...

Okay, so I got the motor home to my garage about a week and a half ago... It's been sitting in the garage while I wait for some warm day to blast all the junk and mud off it before I bring it down to the operating theatre... Since then we've been basking in lots of cold temps, snow and ice storms...

ie: Hasn't happened yet.

So, the other day I thought "Hey! Why not drag it down into the basement near one of the drains on the concrete portion of the floor and just have at it with a bucket of hot soapy water and a bristle brush?!?" It was a good idea.

I'll let you know when I do something about it... But right now I've gotta get the woodstove going and make some soya mocha lattes.
