Was looking at the remains of the GSPD just this afternoon. A full frame-up restoration is required and it's going to be a while before anything happens with that bike. The Oilhead swingarm/final drive is the least of it's worries; that's going to be pretty straight forward.

I'm basically between garage/workspaces, and it's only the good graces of friends like Bino that permit me to get anything done at the moment. Just rescued my valve grinding machine earlier this afternoon from the basement construction site where it'd been left to fend for itself these last few years. Still not sure where my valve seat cutters got to...

No, not an accident or anything like that. The bike was parked after being ridden through a Southern Ontario winter - complete with water, salt and snow. Got busy for the next little while with family and new arrivals and the like and the next thing you know it was a rusted mess. Then tore it apart to remove another wonky driveshaft and what I suspected might be a finally expired transmission... then got sidetracked again.

It's going to need to be stripped down to the last nut and bolt and refinished to bring it back to presentable, rideable, serviceable condition. I'll do the suspension mods at the same time.

Will this /7 seat work on the R90/6.

Nah, this is what you need...

Well, I think this option would be more appropriate, reflecting your advanced age, your lovely wife and of course, I see Gerry in the sidecar....

The King and Queen....ta da....

Jane and I are finished with it so.....

Just send me the Corbin and we'll be even......

Oooops...wait a minute, think the King and Queen is /7 size

always looking out for you/us older guys...come over to the other side

Good to know you've got my six, Roberto. We'll just hang onto that seat until I fall over something more appropriate.

We need a little shiny around here after all this rust and corruption... This is the stuff that's going in the S2 Buell.

Forged 1250 "Hurricane" pistons.

NHRS Stage II "Thunderstorm" heads.

"Screamin' Eagle" .536" cams. (love the names for all this Buell performance stuff )

Look at those freeking lobes.

There's some 1250 Nikasil barrels, too, but they wouldn't fit on that old wooden crate without risking a major catastrophe.

Bought my first Buell nearly 11 years ago, Bill, if that's what you mean. Haven't been without one since.

Back when BMW threw in the towel on flaccid 50hp Airheads bemoaning oppressive emissions standards, Buell developed an air-cooled, two valve, pushrod twin that made an EPA compliant 100hp. Erik already had my attention with his unique chassis designs. His clever approach to engine development just sealed the deal.

These are some fine motorcycles:

Ravilla Island then POW.

Alaska Marine Highway from Prince Rupert (90 miles), the two ferries per day to Hollis Prince of Wales Island, Alaska.

Ah, I remember now-- has it been that long? Caused quite a stir on That Other List.

Nice bikes indeed. Modern, with a touch of Old School.

Gawd that pic and that spot gave me a pang. NEED to get out riding...

Oh, and I know you ain't really got the space or time but trickle the oven sized GS bits up to me, I'll blast em and powdercoat them.

Maybe if we start softening them up now, the wives will let us have a play date sometime soon. We could do a lot of damage in one day in me shop...

You're on, and thanks. I'll start collecting bits next time I'm there. There's some bits on the 90/6 that could use it, too. Headlight ears etc.

You'll never look back. Powder coating's the business.

Bits from the Ford 200ci ready to churn and burn...
