I use "Engine Ice" in my KTM and all my other liquid cooled bikes, like it.

I use Golden-Spectro pre-mix. It's expensive so it must be good...

I always use the Honda stuff - premixed, no silicates, etc. - basically a good quality straight EG available virtually everywhere at a reasonable price.

Harley-Davidson V-Rod coolant. It's orange, so it must be good.
No... really, that's what I use. Honest. |

Here is a must-read article on coolants. If you never add or change coolant, don't bother reading it, because you are past help ;)
http://www.motor.com/MAGAZINE/Pdf/082004_04.pdf I use Toyota Red coolant in my EXC, mainly because it's very high quality and also what I have on hand for my truck. Any regular, non-silicate ethylene glycol coolant will work. You have to read the lable carefully, or the article, to find out which ones are not advisable. Don't use an extended life coolant. Just change it every year or two, max. |

Yes, you have to use coolant squeezed from an orange tree (at the top of an Austrian mountain by cloistered monks at 10:01 PM during the Summer Solstice) in a KTM, don't you ?
