Central ADV Rally

Ok... this is a go. The Unofficial Central ADV Ralley will take place the weekend of (Thursday 8/21-Sun 8/24) August 23rd 2008!! The event will take place at Lynn Ann's Campground which was the most receptive. It's right on the water..so you can wake up and jump on in!! Camping is a flat fee of 27.50 per site with a maximum of two tents (no bike limit) per site per nite. Please contact them to reserve your site and reference the rally so they group us together as much as possible. The area is full of on and off road adventure. We will be riding up to meet with a few of the inmates who live in the area earlier in the summer to put some maps and suggested routes together for those not familiar with the area. The fee is $30.00 for the weekend. This will include a T-Shirt (XXL-5XL add $3.00) pig roast on Saturday Night with side dishes, Beer Saturday night (good beer), A band Saturday night (a good rock band, Dirty Barbies They Used to Be Nod... til 10pm) and coffee (good coffee) Friday, Saturday and Sunday Mornings!!

Now..If we get more than 35 or so people to sign up..we could do some food in the mornings..I'm going to try to do as much as I can but can't do any more than this for the time being until I know how many people are showing. I'm not going to accept paypal..cause I'll get taxed on it..so please send your monies to the address below and Please make your reservation at the campground in a timely manner.

There will be two shirt designs..One..with the thumbs up bike guy on the back of the shirt in burnt orange on a black t-shirt with the regular ADV logo on the crest in burnt orange as well.

The other is the ADV logo on the front Crest in White with THIS on the Back..in full color!!

We will also be giving out some door prizes..most likely on Saturday. They are starting to trickle in so I'll post them as I get them..SO FAR:

A central adv rally sounds cool. I'm sure there is alot of great riding up near Eagle River too. The two dates you suggested are the weekends of the Great River Gravel ride ( sort of an adv rally too ) and the other weekend is Aerostitch's very boring rally.
They have a West fest, so why not a mid-west fest?

I would like to try to make this especially if in that area. another option Check Marinette county parks, I know Goodman park has group sites, some of the others may as well. what kind of riding are you looking for? seems I may know some spots in that neck of the woods

I'll check into the pipeline area hodag...that's a great off road area..but the coppers like to nail ya if your riding on the ATV trails..but it's close enough to tons of logging roads.... I really like the Eagle River area as all or most of the snomobile trails are logging roads in the summer and you can ride for days up there...there's even little signs all over pointing you towards gas/taverns and food...plus there are tons of lakes to swim in after or during hot rides

Keep the ideas coming..

So far the opinion sways towards August...should we do the 16th or have it on the same weekend as the Aerostich deally..Duluth is only 3 hours or so from Eagle River...maybe 4 from Mountain?? Don't want to steal anyones thunder..not that a little ADV rally would do anything like that..but we may draw some people who are just passing through the rally (Duluth) and it's a day trip up there and back easily....

I'm already on Beer..I'm thinking some really good shit from Capitol Brewery and maybe Lakefront..this is wisconsin after all.

I've already got one non-rider guy with a truck and trailer for hauling shit...tarps and tents for eating and such shouldn't be a problem..I'm in the wedding industry so I'm sure we can find something......
