okay ![]() Still has metal fenders and Metzler M1 tires 985 miles ridden mostly in sand on Cape Cod area. I take it to vintage rides occasionally. Starts first kick.

125 Six Days. Green tank. 175's had a blue tank and were called Jack Piner.

kind of a bad time for the YZ's. the euro's were still king of the hill in 75 and the monoshock was almost too much for people to grasp, though obviously yamaha was at the fore for single shock. great looking bikes though. a few more years those YZ400's were top of the heap though and Ricky Burgett made it stick. 77?

These model was "known" in Europe as DT 400 and more used as an all purpose enduro:

in 72 all the DT's were a solid color with no stripe. the 360 was silver. the 250 orange. my 175 maroon. the 125 green? and the 100 purple? thats a 71 at the newest.

Did they have a different color scheme outside the US?
I'm having a hard time remembering exactly, but I recall a fellow around 1972 riding a black 360 with a red pinstripe like that. That one doesn't look like it had the reed valve, was that started in 73 or 74? |
