It should be. It is a looker if nothing else. If we can get a new/rebuilt stator for the bike it should be a solid runner. I have ridden the bike, just over time the spark has gone from occasionaly intermittant to mostly not happening. Last year we comepltely went through the wiring and the only thing not replaced was the old XT stator. That old stator has both a lighting and ignition coil. Suspect the ignition coil went soiuth. I've still got the skid plate, a set of spare forks, fork seaks, dust wipers, set of folding mirrors and a the original carb sitting in my garage (I dropped the bike off with Les on a trip to Phoenix to court my wife, the former Azklrgirl, and I forgot to pack a few things in my rush to make the 700 mile trip).

BTW, if I followed Les directions I've bought two chances to get this bike back.

I just told my wife that we are going to Vegas in 18 months!

She is already wondering who will watch our child who will be in Kindergarten at the time.

I'm betting you wished Chris had picked someone a little closer.

I can't wait to figure this out.

So what are we going to do here, are we seriously going to ship this thing across the country for just a few months? As much as I'd love to ride it and take it to some races use it to stirr up some donations, it might make more sense to just fix the stator and start a new raffle now. I do seriously want to race it in '09.

I have a suggestion Brian

Brian, I have a suggestion.

I would love to take your position as winner, and if you would allow me that honor, I will make substantial Rider Down donation in your name and absorb your responsibilities for this round.

If that sounds interesting, contact me and let's discuss the specifics.
