'76 CB750. Just Picked It Up, For Free
About 4 years ago, I was storing this CB for my buddy in my garage. I offered to buy it from him then, but he had plans for it.
Fast forward 4 years, and it's back in my garage, now mine, for free. It's a little more weathered then when it left, but I think I'll be able to freshen it up a bit. It ran last time it left the garage, but it has no battery now, and I'm sure it's the same gas that's in the tank as when it last left. The seat came with it, but it's long ago lost the side covers. Looks to be a fun project... ![]() -darrell |

I'm good at destroying things that are perfectly good as they are, so a chop/bob would be the easier of the two. But I'm thinkin a restoration would be fun to putt around on, too. I dunno. -darrell |

too far gone for a resto. too much money involved. better with some kind of bob job or cafe. I'd prefer a cafe. bobbing 750's was never really a thing to do.
Although I've always wanted to create a shot gun style 750 with high pipes on each side like the CL 350 and CL 450's used to have. That would be kind of neat. Since these bikes start so easily with the kicker I'd go the real minimal route with a very small battery, smaller tank, etc. and leave some open space under the seat.

Cafe
I would agree about it being too far gone for a resto. I would cafe it, or something you would enjoy. If you would like to see some great cafe bikes and what they started like, I would look at Carpy's site: http://www.cb750cafe.com/ Read through his more detailed projects. A lot of good information, great pictures, and a nice guy. I have emailed him in the past and he has always answered back.
