So the CRF450x bolt on pin will fit the GSPD?

I have much to learn, grandfather

I wonder if you could call them with a neck size? I bet its more a question of how long the arm is rather than how big the collar is.

Scotts does not make a bolt on ring specifically for this application.

To clarify exactly what is needed for the Scotts installation:

1)Scotts damper with a 40mm reverse mounted stepped arm.

2)BRP Sub Mount 10614P3

3)I now have the bolt on towers available, or Scotts Standard Length Weld on Tower (VERY tight fit between tank and tower)

Hope this helps cure some of the confusion.

Do you know which one is the bolt on application? I did not see anything listed on the web site.

Sign me up for one when you get the g/s one together.... I would prefer having the stock lugs/recess so I could run the blinkers/headlight in the stock configuration. Being able to use a damper would be less important...

No I have not come by a stock clamp to duplicate. Carl (here on AdvRider) has a spare, and should be sending it my way soon. I would appreciate some input from G/S riders as to what would be necessary to incorporate into the clamp. Some pictures of the clamp on the bike, with the accessories bolted to it would be great!

I would not want a copy of the stocker top triple (at least for mine), I just ordered a set of Acerbis handguards with integrated turn signals..... I would want the ability to run other handlebars (like HPNGuy's R100clamp) and perhaps a damper as well..

Guy--

Any word on the bolt on tower for 2006 Kawasaki Kx250?

Look here for pics. I had intended to order this part, and install it on my bike, but they talked me into using the weld on tower for a more rigid mount. I will order one of these Monday, and make sure that it will work.

3B)Possibly a Bolt on Tower for 2006 Kawisaki Kx250 (I will verify that it works this week).

Hope this helps cure some of the confusion.

I received the KX250 tower on Monday, and it will not work for this application. It was very close, but has a bend in the back where it has an interference problem with the Kawi frame, this makes it so it will not have enough bite on the BMW. (This is the only bolt on tower that Scotts makes for a 60mm stem tube.)

If there are enough people interested in a bolt on tower, I will machine up a batch of them. Reply here, PM or email me, and I will get a list going, when I get some confirmations, I will start machining. (An estimate on cost will be around $100-$120 each.)

Guy,

Do you have the stock clamp in hand? Please let me know if you need picture of the stock clamp on a bike and I can shoot whatever you need!

No I don't have a sample yet. Carl is awaiting it's arrival (he bought a spare), and as soon as he gets it he will forward it to me.

Pictures would be great! (Email at your convenience.)

Thanks,
Guy

A few people requested a closeup of the weld on tower, so here it is. I ground a little bit of material off of the "wings" to make them line up with the frame, cut approx. .440" off of the top of the tower, positioned it with some clamps/zip ties and welded away. Took me all of about 15 minutes, start to finish. (The black stuff is some anti-rust paint I brushed on.)

The second run just got back from anodizing, and I remembered to take some pictures before I shipped them out this time.

New triple with the BRP SUB mount for a Honda CRF450X, PN 10614P3.

This triple clamp will accept any type of bar mounts designed for the Honda CRF450X, with either 7/8 or 1 1/8 bars, but if you want to install a Scotts damper, you will have to use the SUB mount from BRP or Scotts (same P/N the only difference is if you buy it from Scotts, it will be grey instead of black).

Compared to original GS triple.

Guy they look great. You stated that you mounted a Pro Taper ATV high bars on the BRP mount.

2 questions

Do the bars hit the fairing at lock

What did you do for the heated grips and hand guards

Can't tell because of the camera angle but, is the height/depth at the end of each side (where the fork actually clamps into) the same?
