vstrom 650 with Uly blinkers

My vstrom 650 fell over in my garage and the left front blinker smashed. thankfully the frame sliders saved the rest of the bike. I called the local buell dealer in East hartford, CT and the y were 12.00 each. they fit great. i don't mind that they are recessed in the fairing panel. i know there are other posts here and on the vstrom rapid forum, but i thought i'd add my experience. i plan on leaving the rear blinkers the way they are.

I've got them all around now. Had the two front ones then smashed a rear one... so now all four match.

i was disgusted with the price of the suzuki part. even with my ama discount 45.00 (41.00 after discount) is still twice whatI paid for the pair of uly blinkers

I just swapped my L-P Flush Mount III's with Buell signals, and swapped the stock 10W bulbs in them for 21W amber 1156's. I wasn't happy with the flush mounts because after just a couple of years of sun exposure, they were starting to deteriorate. The rubber gaskets around the lenses were cracked and breaking up, and the top halves of the lenses had faded from amber to almost clear. Also, one bulb burned out, and I found they use some strange little bulb that nobody carries.

I've already dropped the bike once, in sugar sand, and the Buell signals came through unscathed.

i don't have pics, but I will say after seeing pics of other bikes in other posts the fairings, and panels vary a bit. the uly blinkers look very nice on my bike. they recess a little into the side panel, but it looks better than other bikes i've seen. on other wee's it looks like the stalk of the blinker goes into a hole, whereas my bike is just indented a little.

Look for 1156A bulbs. They're a standard automotive bulb that's available at any car parts store. 21W, amber tint.
